How Much Does an AI Chatbot Cost for a Small Business?
You search for how much an AI chatbot costs and everywhere you look you get vague answers. "It depends." "Request a quote." Nobody writes a number. We will, because you deserve to know whether we are anywhere near your budget before you spend an hour on a call.
Why there is no single answer
There is no single price because you are not buying a finished button off a shelf. You are buying a small piece of infrastructure that has to know your business.
The factors are straightforward:
- How many channels it runs on. One channel, like Telegram, is simpler than two or three.
- How much knowledge it needs. An FAQ of 20 answers is one thing; a full guide to your services, prices and procedures is another.
- Whether it needs to follow up leads — that is, keep enquirers' details and help make sure nobody falls through the cracks.
- Whether it has to connect to other systems. That raises complexity and needs care.
- Whether you want monthly support, reports and ongoing improvements.
So the right question is not only "how much does an AI chatbot cost?" It is "what exactly will it do for my business?"
What it costs with us
We would rather state prices openly. That way you know immediately whether we are in your range.
| Package | Starting price | What it includes | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| BASIC | from €600 | Chatbot on 1 channel (Telegram), FAQ up to 20, installed in 72 hours | A small business that wants answers around the clock |
| PRO | from €1,000 | 2 channels, FAQ up to 50, lead follow-up, Google Business optimisation | A business with steady message volume that wants to capture enquiries |
| PREMIUM | from €1,500 | 3 channels, unlimited FAQ, personalised follow-up, monthly support and reports | A business that wants it fully managed |
Every package includes a free needs assessment and a demo before you buy. There is also a 20% discount for students and new businesses.

The hidden cost nobody mentions: the API
The cost that rarely gets stated clearly is the API. API simply means the way one program talks to another — in this case, how your chatbot talks to the AI "brain" that produces the answers.
That usage is billed by the provider. For a small business it is typically a small monthly amount, but it is not zero, and you should know about it before you sign anything.
The correct arrangement is for you to have your own account with the AI provider, billed to you. That way you see exactly what you are paying, you are not dependent on anyone, and if you ever change supplier the chatbot keeps working. Anyone who hides this cost inside their own account is making you dependent on them.
What you do NOT need to pay for
You do not need to buy a server. A server is a computer that stays on and serves your site — for a chatbot of this kind, you do not need one of your own.
You do not need to hire a developer to maintain it daily. Installation, the basic settings and the knowledge updates are part of the service.
You do not need a machine of your own running 24 hours a day. The chatbot must not depend on whether your office computer is switched on.
If someone tells you that you need a long list of extras before you can even start, ask them to explain why, in plain language. Usually you do not.
How to compare quotes
Ask every supplier — including us — these five questions:
- Who holds the API key, and whose account is billed?
- What happens if we stop working together? Do you keep the knowledge base and the setup?
- Who pays for maintenance and knowledge updates after the first month?
- Where does customer data go, and is there a written agreement covering it?
- What exactly is in the price, and what is billed separately?
If the answers are evasive on any of the five, that is your answer.
When it is worth it — and when it is not
We will be honest, because an unhappy customer costs us more than a lost sale:
| Your situation | Worth it? |
|---|---|
| Dozens of repeat questions weekly | ✅ clearly |
| Enquiries arriving outside working hours | ✅ clearly |
| You lose leads because you reply late | ✅ clearly |
| 3-4 messages a week | ❌ keep your money |
| Every enquiry is unique and complex | ❌ needs a person |
If you have three customer questions a week, you do not need a chatbot. We will tell you so during the free assessment rather than sell you something you will not use.
Frequently asked questions
Want a clear price before you decide?
Tell us what you need and we will give you a number, not a riddle. The needs assessment and the demo are free, and we will tell you honestly if a chatbot is not worth it for your business.
